Saturday saw our season opener at Rosalie played against last years Grand Final opponents, Nedlands. Whilst in the lower Grades we didn't come up with wins, although from what games I saw, these teams did not give up, 1st Grade had a massive win to the tune of 25-23, with Kane Allen scoring a try and Dave Von Kotze in a man of the match performance kicking 20 points in a faultless display at fullback. Well done to Tiddles and the team and it was good to get off to a better start than season 2006, however we all know where that led to, G.F. win number 4. Also it was good to see Plimms back having a run with 3rds and 2nds. This weekend most of the Club is up at Perth Bayswater, where 1sts will play for the Peter Wells Memorial Trophy, whilst 4ths play Midland.
