Wests teams were at Rosalie (apart from Under 18's), for Round 11 on Saturday 14/06/2008.

1st Grade played unbeaten Kalamunda and once again got off to a good start with a try to Nathan Wooten converted by Brad Linklater. Kalamunda came back and kicked a penalty and scored a try to take the lead and Wests were chasing the game. Wests went on to score 2 more penalties to Brad Linklater, whilst Kala scored three more tries and a conversion to win 22-16. Wests sustained long periods of attack from Kalamunda and held them out for considerable time at the end of the game, but couldn't get down the other end to score. Player of the day was Nathan Johnson.

2nd Grade also played Kalamunda and in a game of see-sawing fortunes went down 31-24. Wests didn't help themselves by going from hot on attack on the Kala goal line to turning over the ball and letting the Kala players break out and run the length of the field to score, hence giving away a "10 point try". Scorers for Wests were Alex Bruce, Dan Arthur, Greg Dowse whilst Craig Barrett kicked 3 conversions and a penalty. Player of the day was Willie Lio.

3rd Grade took on an ARKS side that was bolstered by the competition leading 5th Grade side that had a bye, so it was going to be a tough contest. Thirds started well and in a good team effort prevailed 41 points to 7, which was an exceptional win. Try scorers were, Jason Ahipene, Greg Plimmer, Dan Broughton, Richard Takarangi, and Steve Roberts (2), whilst Aaron Broughton kicked 4 conversions and a penalty. Player of the day again was Jason Ahipene.

5th Grade took on Kalamunda and in a great win, their third in a row, won 32 points to 13, getting 5 tries in the process. Try scorers were Ian McLeod, Jason Leatherby-Hohaia (2), Mark Murphy, and Scott Blakemore who also kicked 2 conversions and a penalty. A good win by 5ths and pushes then a considerable way up the ladder. Player of the day was Jason Leatherby-Hohaia.

Under 20's who were in first place on the ladder played Perth Bayswater who were in second. In a game that Wests dominated in the first half they went in with a half time lead of 19-7. Perth came back at them in the second half as Wests had a makeshift front row and came back to 19-13 through 2 penalties. West then under pressure on their line intercepted a Perth pass by Sam Paton and he raced away to score under the posts to make it 26-13. Perth came back and scored a converted try to make the final score Wests 26 Perth 20. Try scorers for Wests were Rhys King, Billy Cooper, Sam Paton (2), whilst Peter Powderly kicked 3 conversions. Player of the day was Sam Paton.

Under 18's played the only other unbeaten side in this competition in Perth Bayswater up at Morley, however they went down 29 points to 23, apparently not helped by some very dubios reffing decisions. Try scorers were Lorenzo DeVilliers, Ryan Louwrens, Lewis Flood, whilst Sheldon Tarawa kicked a conversion and 2 penalties.

The Women's team played Kalamunda who had a player less than Wests, however Wests lost a player to injury, so both sides played two thirds of the match with 14 players. Wests seemed to have more flair and a stronger attack, but last minute passes let them down on a number of occassions, with them turning at the brake 10 - 0 up. Straight after the restart they scored again and converted and went on to score another try for a 22-5 win. A good effort with try scorers Patsy Schwalger, Rita Saseve, Saili Tomuli and Coral Parkinson who also kicked a conversion.
