Saturday 12th May saw all the Clubs senior teams heading South to Rockingham and Mandurah.
1sts played Rockingham and in a tight somewhat scrappy game prevailed to the tune of 15 points to 7. Tries were scored by Tom Alexander who showed good determination to drag 2 or 3 opposition players over the line with him from 5 metres out, and Leon Felton. Good performances from Scooter, Dave Von Kotze, Tom Alexander, Kiti Fuluna and Luigi de Figueiredo until he went off just after half time with a recurring quad injury. Tiddles targeted 4 points from this match and that was achieved, so lets do the same at Uni. next week.
2nds also played Rockingham and prevailed to the tune of 53 points to 13. Another dominant performance for the second week in a row, with the players in this side starting to form good combinations. The standout in this game was prop Lawrence Patalesio scoring three tries, his third bringing a loud cheer from the sideline. Others to stand out were Pugs, Regan Harray as usual leading from the front, Mike Ratcliffe and Pat Byron.
3rds played down the road at Mandurah, once again playing this clubs top team and going down by 25 points to 15. From what I was told from the Coaches it was another game we should have won, however poor handling errors cost at crucial times. Stick at it guys, remember last year you turned the corner after playing Mandurah away.
4ths played Rockingham away, with some members arriving late due to getting lost, and went down by 14 points to 8, not helped by some abysmal reffing. A very scrappy match with Rockingham scoring 2 tries from some weak tackling, whilst Brad Downey scored under the posts early in the second half, Scotty Blakemore missing the conversion from in front. 4ths you need to find a goal kicker!!!!
Colts also played Rockingham and went down by 39 points to 3, trying hard all game but outgunned.
Under 17's also played down at Rockingham and after leading 12-0 at half time went onto win 15 points to 13.
